Yoga can be practiced by just about anyone, whatever shape, size or ability you are, yoga can be an amazing tool to help you reduce stress levels, improve posture and flexibility and boost your general fitness and well-being.
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and have been training intensively for the last 3 years to teach and pass on my knowledge to beginner and intermediate level students. My training began at triyoga London with Anna Ashby and Joey Miles and continued with yoga classes, retreats and study tours in the UK and India.
For me, yoga is not just exercise for the super athletic and bendy. I have always found it to be a combination of mind, body and spirit and when practiced regularly is a totally transformative experience.
There are many different styles and types of yoga and not all types will suit everyone. I teach gentle Hatha yoga. My style is a gentle, fluid yoga which is grounding, both mentally and physically. Classes will focus on meditation, breath work and the smooth transition between postures to leave my students calm and energised.
The primary purpose of yoga is to maintain or regain health and energy, to realign posture and re-educate the spine to restore suppleness and vitality.
90 minute classes take place on Saturdays at 10.30am at the yoga studio within Pimlico Physiotherapy, 52 Lupus Street, Pimlico, London SW1V 3EE (entrance is via the stairs on St George’s Drive).
